Ragunda has education of all levels including: nine-years compulsory school, upper secondary school, college, adult education and study-circles.
There are nine-year compulsory schools spread all over the community from Stugun in the west to Bispgården in the east. The municipality has an upper secondary school and adult education in Bispgården.
Adult education
The adult education holds the responsibility for teaching immigrants Swedish, SFI (Swedish For Immigrants). Remedial school for educationally/mentally handicapped children is integrated in the nine-year compulsory school. We offer great opportunities for distance learning in the municipality, both on upper secondary school-level and college-level. The study centres can through an advanced communication system give people an option to study locally. All adult education is a part of what we call LärCentrum. One of the fundamental ideas with our LärCentra (education-centres) is to make it possible to study with the aid of distance learning.
Childcare
Irrespective if the parents are employed or not, childminding is available at home or in a day nursery. There are day nursery facilities in Stugun, Hammarstrand and Bispgården. For children up to 12 years of age we can offer school recreation. For the moment there is no queue for day-care places within the municipality of Ragunda.
